Conference & Banqueting Porter

The Cork International Hotel is recruiting for a Conference & Banqueting Porter to join the Conference & Banqueting Team. Key Responsibilities • Set up conference and banqueting rooms according to the function sheets and guest requirements. • Ensure meeting rooms and event spaces are fully prepared and ready for the day’s events. • Break down and clean meeting rooms after events, returning equipment and items to the correct storage areas. • Set up and assist with catering equipment, audiovisual (A/V) equipment, and other event materials as required. • Restock and replenish meeting rooms promptly to ensure they remain ready for use. • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and presentation in all meeting and event areas. • Follow the cleaning schedule to keep rooms tidy and well maintained at all times. • Assist with inventory control and ensure equipment and storage areas remain organised. • Help maintain the general appearance of public areas on the Meeting & Events floor. • Communicate with supervisors and team members throughout the shift to ensure tasks are completed efficiently. • Liaise with other departments to ensure all guest requirements listed on the function sheets are delivered. • Provide assistance to banquet staff when required. • Respond to day-to-day requests from corporate guests using the meeting facilities. Team & Organisation • Assist with stock taking and equipment organisation. • Attend staff meetings when required. • Communicate clearly with guests regarding any changes or additional requirements during meetings or events. • Carry out any additional duties assigned by supervisors or management to support the smooth running of events.
