Central to this next chapter is The Bastion Kitchen & Bar, a major new food and beverage concept and the hotel’s most significant launch to date. The Bastion will be a destination in its own right, combining stylish interiors, striking castle views, speciality cocktails and relaxed yet refined dining. Its menus will celebrate the exceptional food of the Boyne Valley, showcasing quality local produce and suppliers through creative, flavour-led dishes, modern gastro-style dining and an outstanding Sunday carvery. We are seeking to recruit an experienced Food & Beverage Host to join the Bastion Team. Duties and Responsibilities of the Role: Guest Experience & Hosting · Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables, ensuring a seamless start to their dining experience · Maintain an organised and efficient reservation system, managing bookings across outlets · Provide menus, introduce guests to the restaurant’s offerings, and answer any queries about the menu, dietary preferences, or allergens · Assist in resolving any guest concerns or special requests promptly and professionally · Liaise with the kitchen and service team to ensure smooth communication of guest preferences and requests F&B Coordination & Administration · Support the F&B team with the preparation of daily reservations, ensuring accurate guest counts and special requirements · Assist in updating table plans and floor layouts based on reservations and walk-ins · Coordinate with different departments (kitchen, bar, and service team) to ensure smooth operations during peak service times · Manage and monitor inventory of hosting-related supplies, such as menus, table settings, and promotional materials · Maintain and update guest profiles and preferences to enhance personalised service Service Excellence & Team Collaboration · Work closely with the and F&B Management team to uphold the highest service standards · Provide guidance and training to junior staff on hosting etiquette and reservation management · Assist with special event setups and private dining arrangements as needed · Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the reception/host area in the outlet Requirements for the role: · Previous experience in a luxury hospitality environment preferred · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, welcoming personality · Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and work under pressure · Proficiency in reservation management systems and basic administrative duties · A proactive approach with attention to detail and a passion for exceptional guest service · Ability to work flexibly across different outlets and shifts, including weekends and holidays Why Join Trim Castle Hotel? • Competitive salary • Ongoing training and career development opportunities • Complimentary meals while on duty • Hotel Car Parking complimentary • Staff discounts • Discounted leisure facilities/membership at the Johnstown Estate Ready to join the Bastion Kitchen & Bar?
