How nixers works
By The nixers team · Last updated:
nixers is a job board for shifts, weekend work and one-off jobs. You find work and apply, or you post a job and people get in touch. Posting and applying are free. nixers charges no lead fees and no commission, and it never handles the payment. You deal with the other person directly.
How it works
- Browse jobs. Open the board and look through shifts, weekend work and one-off jobs. A job page shows the pay, the place and what the work is. Some posts include a short voice memo you can play.
- Apply on nixers. On a job somebody posted here, the button says Apply for this job. You send a short application on the site. The poster reads it and replies on nixers. Your email address is not shown on the job.
- Or open a Sourced listing. A job marked Sourced was put on the board by nixers. The company did not post it here. Apply on company site opens their page, and nixers does not collect that application.
- Post a job. Use it when you need a shift or a one-off covered. You can post without an account if you leave an email for replies. The job needs a pay and a place, or you mark that field Not specified. People apply on nixers, and you read and answer them there.
- Agree the work yourselves. You settle the hours, the pay and the scope with the other person. You pay them directly, off-platform. nixers holds no money and offers no escrow or guarantee.
Looking for work is separate from applying. It opens your profile so you can record what work you will do and where you will travel. nixers keeps that recording. An email when a job is posted is off until you turn it on under Settings, then Alerts.
What Sourced means
Sourced means nixers found the vacancy and listed it. The company did not post the job on nixers.
- Posted by nixers sits under the company name. The company is a label on the job, not an account here.
- Apply on company site is the only apply control. It opens their page. nixers does not take the application.
- Not a check of the employer, the pay, or anyone who applies. Read the address before you send a CV or personal details.
No commission, deal directly
Posting a job is free and applying is free. Nobody is charged to connect:
- Free to post and free to apply.
- No lead fees. nixers never charges anyone to receive an application.
- No commission. nixers takes no cut of the work.
- No payment on nixers. You pay the person who did the work, directly, off-platform. nixers holds no money and offers no escrow or guarantee.
That is the point of nixers: it shows you the job, or shows your job to people nearby, and then gets out of the way.
