Senior Healthcare Assistant (Home Care) - Southeast Region

Right at Home is hiring a full-time Senior Healthcare Assistant to work across the Southeast (Waterford, Carlow, Kilkenny and South Tipperary), based out of its Waterford office. You give care to clients in their own homes and cover urgent or unplanned calls when care workers are off. Duties - Cover urgent on-call issues and care calls when care workers are sick or unavailable - Help clients with personal care, showering, dressing and toileting - Prompt medication in line with each client's Home Care Plan - Prepare meals and help with light household jobs - Support clients to stay independent and involved socially - Record all care given and report any concerns or changes Requirements - At least two QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support modules (incl. Care Skills and Care of the Older Person), and commitment to finish the full award within two years - Full driving licence and own car - Patient Moving and Handling certificate, or willing to train - Care experience desirable; international police clearance where applicable Type: Full-time, flexible working days.
