We are the largest independent Furniture Retailer in Ireland employing over 360 people. The Role We are seeking a reliable and experienced Shunter Driver (Category C and C+E Licence) to join our team based in Dublin, Damastown. The successful candidate will be responsible for moving (shunting) trucks and demountable boxes between our Dublin distribution centre and various locations across Ireland ensuring vehicles and equipment are positioned safely and efficiently to support our nationwide logistics operation. Previous experience operating demountable trucks is an advantage but is not essential, as full training will be provided to the right candidate. The Person You are a dependable and safety-conscious driver with a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high standards in everything you do. You take pride in maintaining vehicles, following procedures, and working closely with the transport team to ensure operations run smoothly. Responsibilities • Shunt trucks and demountable boxes between Dublin and various locations across Ireland • Ensure the safe and timely movement of vehicles and equipment. • Carry out daily vehicle inspections before departure. • Maintain regular communication with the Transport Manager. • Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and road transport regulations. • Keep vehicles clean and report any defects promptly. • Complete all required transport documentation accurately. Skills & Qualifications • Full, clean Category Cor C+E driving licence (up to date CPC and Driver Qualification Card required). • Previous experience driving artic, rigid trucks or shunting vehicles. • Good knowledge of Irish road networks. • Strong awareness of Safe Driving and health and safety practices. • Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently.
