Bluebird Care is hiring Healthcare / Homecare Assistants in Wexford Town and the surrounding areas. You visit clients in their own homes (a visit is usually about an hour, one client at a time) and follow each person's care plan. You are introduced to your clients before you visit anyone on your own. Duties - Personal care, including washing and dressing - Medication prompts and reminders - Meal preparation and light housework - Mobility support and companionship - Notice and report any changes in a client's wellbeing Requirements - QQI Level 5 in Care of the Elderly and Care Skills, or willing to complete it with support - Full driving licence and own car - Based in or near Wexford Town - Legal right to work in Ireland (no visa sponsorship) - Strong written and spoken English What's offered - Paid travel time and mileage between clients (about 48c per mile) - Ongoing training (manual handling, infection control, safeguarding, medication awareness) - Care Manager support, plus on-call support out of hours - Employee Assistance Programme, plus online shopping and lifestyle discounts Type: Full-time or part-time. Busiest times 8am-12pm and 4pm-8pm; every second weekend. Full-time is four weekdays a week with one fixed weekday off. Your roster is built around the availability you commit to.
