Job Description

The role of Finance Officer will provide financial support to a busy and progressive organisation. Applications are particularly welcome from those with a professional accountancy qualification along with at least 2 years’ experience of similar responsibilities.

Advantageous & Preferred Experience, but not essential:

· Preparing Company Returns

· Cross-Border accounts management

· Detailed knowledge of tax application, particularly in a cross-border scenario

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

· Uphold all financial policies, procedures and processes

· Process & allocate transfers, payments & payment requests

· Update & maintain client accounts and office account

· Process client to office transfers

· Reconciliations (accounts, credit cards, etc.)

· Point-of-Contact for staff queries regarding financial processes & procedures

· Creating & processing payroll journals

· VAT returns

· Aged Debt – own the process of identifying and collection

· Credit Control – provide reporting and analysis to Head of Finance to assist with effective credit management within the organisation

· Accounts office admin

· Process information and data accurately and efficiently

· Keen attention to detail with strong accounting and numeracy skills

Assisting Head of Dept:

· Budget management & forecasting

· Financial performance reporting and analysis

· Identifying & promoting actionable insights from analysis to inform:

o Credit Control

o Billing Cadence

o Collections


· Support and promote Mission, Culture & Values of the company

· Contribute to development of strategic plans

· Provide leadership generally across the business; leading by example

· Other duties reasonably required by directors and partners

Education and Experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role with similar challenges
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrable ability to build and maintain a high performing, quality focused team dynamic
  • Demonstrable ability to develop strategic plans for the department aligned with the business plans for the company
  • A creative and innovative approach to managing the growth and development of the company
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills
