Our recent Series A investment from leading tech-focused VC Draper Esprit takes our total funding to over $20m, following some record-breaking crowdfunding rounds on Crowdcube.

For our international expansion, we are looking to start in Europe by opening an office in Luxembourg. We are very excited to be opening up the world of investing in the Luxembourg market and beyond. To help us with this we're now looking for a Conducting Officer - Finance to be based in our new Luxembourg office and head up the function.


This is a rare and exciting opportunity to help shape how Freetrade evolves in our next stages of growth and to both lead and build out the function for Luxembourg.


What you'll do in your first twelve months at Freetrade

  • Alongside your peer, the Compliance officer for Risk & Compliance based in Luxembourg, you will support the Head of Finance (based in London) to set up processes and controls to operate the entity.
  • Ensure we comply with Luxembourg's regulatory requirements regarding client money and custody assets
  • Collaborate with the Finance Team in London and other teams on key strategic projects as we build out our product and drive our expansion into new markets
  • Grow your team and help to develop more junior finance team members
  • Take on other ad hoc responsibilities to help build and run the Luxembourg office

About you:

  • You will have experience being responsible for client money and custody assets under Luxembourg's regulatory framework
  • You will be a qualified chartered accountant/expert-comptable, or have a similar professional qualification, and will have used your knowledge within a commercial setting
  • You will be fiscally resident in Luxembourg or the Grande Région
  • You will have a solid background working in finance, and in a strong controls environment, ideally in or with a regulated financial institution
  • You are experienced in and enjoy managing projects and/or teams
  • You will be comfortable working with a high level of independence and thrive in a fast-paced working environment where you can act on and share ideas
  • You favour a structured and systematic way of working and have excellent time management
  • You're proactive, confident and resourceful when navigating through ambiguity

Logistics

The application process consists of a short phone interview, followed by a remote video interview, then a meeting with our Exec team in London.
