Beckman Coulter currently have an opportunity for an Applications Scientist to join our team based at our facility in Co.Clare.
We are an experienced technical team that work globally to provide the highest level of service in product application support for Beckman Coulter products and systems. Typically working with field applications, commercial operations, and distributors, we work to resolve customer technical queries and provide technical solutions. We actively bring voice of service and application to new product development. The team develops and delivers of advanced Application training for Field Application Specialist and Engineers and ensure product readiness in order to support commercial activities prelaunch and post launch.
Support core team member for Service and Support for Serology/ Blood Virus projects ensuring delivery of assigned tasks on time regularly communicating NPD deliverable status to line management.
Participate in new product introductions and design changes ensuring they are customer implementable and support the service and support organizations in delivering training and product information
Support the development of regional team SME Application Specialists for installs and customer care
Liaise with field and product specialists to resolve escalations and customer issues. Communication of problem resolutions and/or investigation outcomes to all appropriate personnel.
Support development of launch support documentation/tools - Applications manual, technical assay guides and training
Provision of excellent internal and external (where appropriate) customer satisfaction continually striving to improve support activities
Drives product and process improvements and efficiencies using DBS tools
Experimental design and /or performance of hands on laboratory studies to aid in problem resolution.
Assist/Participate in development of processes and procedures to improve troubleshooting efficiency
Attendance at customer sites to resolve and discuss issues.
Understand & pro-actively follow through on all relevant procedures & ensure compliance to all standards.
Develop and provide application training and FAQs to the field.
Develop customer communications as required
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years’ experience or Masters in relevant field with 1-2 year.
Team player with excellent communication skills and technical competence
Ability to effectively organize ideas and present them either in written or oral format.
Ability to manage complexity with strong troubleshooting skills
Good team player who is able to work collaboratively across the business
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours to support customers.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure
