Our client is one of Ireland's leading Civil & Building Contractors with projects sites throughout Dublin
This role will plan, supervise, coordinate and monitor the performance of scaffolding subcontractors on site
Maintain a continuous focus on Health & Safety and Quality Assurance
Deliver projects on time and within budget
Supervise, coordinate and monitor scaffolding sub-contractors’ performance
Maintain accurate records of extra works and variations and ensuring appropriate communication of such work and variation to the project management
Coordinate the planning and design of the scaffolding
Meeting with the scaffolding contractor to ascertain the exact requirements regarding the scaffolding for the project
Ensure that all scaffolding requiring a design is identified early in the project
Check that the safety training records of prospective scaffolders to be employed on site and relevant experience of those who individuals who are proposed to work are being checked to be in order.
Draw up a Scaffolding Plan with the assistance of the scaffolding consultant take into account the needs of the users i.e. the relevant subcontractor trades e.g. stone cladding, façade contractor
Liaise with the scaffolding contractor if required and ensure that a site survey has been completed by the scaffolding sub-contractor.
Decide along with the engineering team if a design is required, and ensure that a scaffolding designer carries out a design
Liaises with the PSDP and PSCS.
Liaises with the relevant section leads to ensure that access requirements/loading requirements etc. are established and these are communicated to the scaffolding contractor in the brief.
Ensures that the relevant scaffolding records e.g. Temporary Works Certificates are in order and on file
Ensure that a specific Risk Assessment is completed for each specific scaffold
Min 3 years’ experience working with scaffolding/ main contractors on large scale, high headcount construction sites essential
Technical knowledge of different scaffolding systems used for facades, i.e. Toggle Glazing, Stone Cladding, Render, Unitized Glazing
Strong time management skills.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication.
Strong understanding of the construction industry and working on site
Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals
Must have fluent English and be eligible to work in Ireland.
Salary ca€60K-65K depending on experience
