FundRock is an independent UCITS V Management Company providing services for Fund promoters.
An opportunity has arisen for a potential within the Central Administration Oversight team within the Limerick offices of FundRock Management Company S.A. The purpose of the team is to organise and oversee the activities of the Central Administrator Financial Reporting and Fund Accounting Oversight and in line with contractual and SLA parameters and defined deadlines in order for the Management Company to meet its requirements and obligations.
The role provides exposure to the activities of over 90 investment Fund umbrellas from across the globe which are domiciled within the Luxembourg Financial Sector. Providing a good foundation for understanding the workings of the Luxembourg Fund Industry and its regulatory requirements from the perspective of those activities performed by the Central Administrator.
Job Responsibilities: Work as part of the Central Administrator Oversight team based in both Luxembourg and Ireland in meeting its oversight requirements under Luxembourg and Irish law and market best practice in relation to:
Financial Reporting/Fund Accounting
Review annual and semi-annual financial statements for our clients and follow-up on timeline agreed
Experience in Irish ad
Keeping up to date with new regulations. Supporting in interpretation of new regulations on how the fund/investors will be affected
Ensuring supporting procedures are accurate and kept up to date
Anticipate potential risk and impact on financial statements and the net asset value calculation, escalate issues and contribute to resolution of problems;
Report to management on operational risk assessment;
Perform key controls on the NAV production process via reviews of KPI (Key Point Indicator) data provided by the Fund Administrator and extracted from appropriate sources, investigating potential risks identified;
Review policies and procedures set in place by the delegates covering the NAV valuation process with reference to legal, regulatory and market practice;
Develop, adapt and improve appropriate risk-based control regime for each assigned service provider and client Fund by analysing internal and external data – i.e. control and auditing reports;
Follow-up with clients and service providers regarding any issues raised until resolution;
Maintain regular service calls with clients and service providers;
Assist in developing measures to restructure and align Management Company services to meet future client, regulatory and business needs;
Achieve high quality in all services provided to clients.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Strong academic background including a MSC in Accounting/Finance/Economics or related field;
Proven in-depth knowledge of European Regulated Investment Products, UCITS, AIFMD and Fund regulatory requirements
Proven experience in Regulatory Reporting, Financial Reporting environment
Excellent communication, analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to work under own initiative
Ability multi-task and work under pressure and to deadlines
Highly motivated, driven and focused
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Word
Fluent English (written and spoken).
