Job Description

Clever Office is the largest supplier of office furniture, equipment, stationery and packaging in the North West. We are experts in new office and refurbishment fit out projects and recently have expanded to provide a nationwide delivery and installation service. Our reputation for customer care, work ethic and reliability speaks for itself.

This role will be a full-time office based contract to cover Maternity Leave. The contract will be for 12 months initially with the possibility of becoming permanent. A 3-month probationary period applies. Salary is dependent on experience.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to fulfil a range of accounting activities and it also incorporates other varied roles within a busy office.

The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years experience in an accounts role and be able to work on their own initiative, prioritise and work well under pressure. They also need to be organised and have excellent communication skills as a lot of the job involves dealing with customers on the telephone. They must have the ability to learn and use new accounting and communication technology and to seek out new and additional duties

They will be responsible for the processing and dispatch of customer invoices and statements in addition to allocating customer remittances, and take ownership of the credit control function in following up for customer payments and queries.

They will have to process all supplier invoices and credits and reconcile same at the end of each month.

They will have responsibility for petty cash accounts and credit cards accounts and balance of same at the end of each month.

Daily lodgments will have to be prepared and balanced.

All month end duties of debtors, creditors and bank will have to be completed.

In addition to the accounts duties we are looking for a candidate that would like to improve their sales, marketing and social media skills to give them a complete small office experience.
