Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for management of multiple non-clinical business operations units within Payment Integrity Operations focused on the UHC business, specifically Coordination of Benefits, Recovery Operations, Data mining, Subrogation, PrePay Operations to deliver the People, Growth and Operational Excellence results
  • Designs and implements the operational strategy to deliver the SG&A costs and Medical Cost savings for Optum Payment Integrity Operations from Ireland
  • Drives the Transformation agenda in conjunction with the Product Leaders to maximize opportunities to support the strategy priorities (avoidance, NPS improvement, reducing medical cost and maximizing automation in the business)
  • Works collaboratively with the UHC PI Oversight Leadership to ensure continuous alignment and customer satisfaction
  • As a senior leader within Payment Integrity Operations Management Team, contributes to the overall strategic and transformation agenda and build relationships across Optum and UHC business to ensure global enterprise impact.

Job Scope and Guidelines:
  • Owns value and costs related processes within Optum Payment Integrity Operations
  • Drives programs that impact markets of customers and products
  • Develops, translates and executes strategies or functional and operational objectives at the segment level
  • Work collaboratively with Product Leaders on process decisions most likely to impact the entire enterprise, industry, and/or marketplace
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Operations experience in a large matrixed organization
