A leading Life Science Manufacturing facility in Cork is seeking to appoint an Operational Excellence Manager. If you have at least 5 years of strong Lean Six Sigma experience and are seeking the next step in your career then this could be the opportunity for you. Ideally you'll bring qualifications in Lean Six Sigma, such as a Black Belt, and some Project Management experience, preferably a PMP. A background in manufacturing is preferable but the client is open to all industries and backgrounds. About the Job:
As part of the Leadership team on the site you will lead and execute major process improvement and cost savings projects to deliver financial results within specified time frames.
By analysing current operations you will be able to identify new project opportunities and financial benefits, determine key drivers to meet cluster and business objectives and monitor, track, and report on progress of improvement activity.
By driving Lean and Six Sigma initiatives you will be responsible for improving performance across a range of key measures (Supply, Cost, Quality, Safety) through application of: DMAIC, Rapid Improvement Events, LEAN fundamentals deployment.
You will prepare, execute, and follow-up on workshops
You will build capability in the organization through project coaching and through periodic delivery of training.
Who you are:
You hold a bachelor’s degree with experience in Operations, Engineering or project leadership role.
Successful track record in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Distribution
You have a proven track record of deploying a range of tools/approaches to improve operational performance (e.g. value stream mapping, 5S, standard work, visual management)
You are a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or Master Black Belt with sufficient change management expertise
You possess excellent communication skills and ability to liaise across functions
