The Role:

This role is designed to support the Internal Communications Team in delivering proactive and coordinated

internal communications through a range of digital and traditional channels. As a specialist in digital Internal

Communications, you will manage our Content Hub; producing, writing, editing, publishing and curating

digital content for our intranet and ezines and print communication channels; and most importantly using

your creativity and strategic thinking to identify and drive outputs and outcomes that support our business

and employee engagement objectives. You’ll have a high degree of technical proficiency, a deep

understanding of digital, excellent writing skills, and a strong understanding of media, marketing and

communication.

Duties and Responsibilities:


Reporting to the Group Head of Internal Communication, you will: 

Develop a channels and editorial strategy to bring to life Ervia’s vision, purpose and strategy and
those of its business units and integrate and coordinate content across other communication
channels. 

In doing so, develop lean, efficient and timely editorial strategies, policies and processes;
streamline and automate publishing, and drive site optimisation. 

Source, write, edit and publish highly engaging content for internal communication channels
including the intranet, employee magazine, and ezines on a daily/weekly basis; aligning messaging
in support of our vision, purpose and strategy and business unit strategies and across programmes
and initiatives. 

Develop and deliver audio/visual content in support of our content strategy. 

Manage / coordinate day to day online intranet / SharePoint publishing, creation of new pages,
editing of existing SharePoint pages, page design, photography and photo-editing. 

Manage a SharePoint back-end and deliver basic site analytics. 

Identify, train and manage a community of authors and champions, and put in place appropriate
governance processes. Develop strong network of collaborators and build relationships across
Ervia. 

Provide sound judgement and expert advice to internal stakeholders on communication issues 

Bring to bear best practice measurement methodologies in your work 

Participate in a digital community of practice with communication colleagues 

Support the development and implementation of Ervia’s internal communication strategy and
related plans 

Support other day-to-day internal and external communications activities as required and additional
responsibilities as decided by the Head of Internal Communications.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
 

5 years’ experience working in a communications role that includes use of digital channels. 

Relevant third level qualification in communications, journalism, marketing or PR. 

Highly proficient in the use of Sharepoint, Powerpoint, MS Office, and Adobe Photoshop. 

Excellent verbal, written and digital communication skills and strong understanding of employee
communications landscape. 

Ability to multi-task and run numerous projects/initiatives simultaneously and to manage third
party/agency relationships. 

Proven track record of collaborating and establishing good working relationships across multiple
functions and business areas. 

Proven effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise and remain focused. 

Flexible with regards working in a changing environment and the ability to adjust to new work
structures, processes, and requirements as necessary. 

Highly collaborative in approach, with lots of energy and enthusiasm for the role.
