Job Description

Purpose: To work on interactive experiences across our growing portfolio of products, including web, apps and digital products. This role requires all consideration given to the user and usability best practices and the balancing of those with business goals and technical capabilities.

A Product Designer is a creative problem solver who can investigate, understand and provide solutions to challenges a user may have with digital interactions through the use of best practises and proven design methodologies.

Your Main Areas of Responsibility & Accountability:

  • Work closely with the Senior Designer and the Design Team to produce quality product work using sketches, interaction models and user journeys, wireframes, prototypes and visuals
  • Show capability across a range of design requirements including interaction design, visual design, and prototyping skills to produce elegant, effective and simple solutions that engage, inform and delight people
  • Participating in client/stakeholder workshops, presenting work and communicating design work to internal and external stakeholders (fluent written and spoken English required)
  • Iterating on ideas, concepts and solutions based on feedback and input from the Design Team, Product team members along with client feedback
  • Conducting research with clients, users and finding insights in analytic data, while always appreciating the human being at the heart of every interaction
  • Co-ordinating your time and workload with the Head of Product Management and PM team

Knowledge & Skills required:

  • 2 - 4 years experience in studio, agency or digital product team with a focus on UX/UI, responsive web, product and app design
  • Knowledge of interaction design as it relates to digital and human-computer interaction within the context of product, mobile and web design
  • Knowledge of current design tools including Sketch, Figma and Adobe XD, along with prototyping/wireframing tools such as Invision
  • Experience with advanced interactive design tools such as Framer X, along with traditional DTP tools, Creative Cloud and Keynote
  • Uncover and synthesize insights with research methods – hall testing, guerilla testing or remote usability testing using tools like usertesting.com is required
