Project Coordinator (fixed term contract)

A vacancy has arisen for a Project Coordinator at Glanbia Business Services based in Kilkenny. This is a 12 months fixed term contract position to cover maternity leave and will report to the Programme Manager.

Key deliverables of the role
The project coordinator is a role in the GBS PMO team which organises and facilitates the work on projects. Working under the direction of a project manager, this individual coordinates the efforts of project team members in producing project deliverables including:

  • Compilation of Blueprint documents
  • Assisting with Data Migration plans and activities including helping to ensure data migration deliverables are aligned to process design
  • Assisting with Testing plans and activities including helping to ensure test scenarios, scripts, environments and testers are appropriate to verify the end-to-end solution is fit for purpose
  • Assisting with stakeholder analysis, communications and training plan coordination
  • Assisting with preparation of cutover plans

This individual also supports the project manager by:
  • Assessing progress against plan
  • Managing the project repository on Sharepoint
  • Managing the project issue & risk register
  • Identifying the need to engage the project manager in resolving problems.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Business or Engineering)

Skills & Experience
  • Takes a structured and effective approach to own work and demonstrates leadership potential
  • Able to analyse, diagnose, design, plan, execute and evaluate work to time, cost and quality targets
  • Familiarity with available methods & tools for project management within Glanbia Business Services, and makes correct choices from alternatives
  • Clearly recognises those situations where reference needs to be made to the supervising Project Manager before taking action
  • Communicates effectively, orally and in writing
