The Cloudera Training Operations Manager will lead Cloudera Educational Services’ global training operations team, with a focus on developing a high-performing team driving innovation, automation, efficiencies, and world class customer support. This position will frequently serve as the first contact point for Partners, Customers and Internal Staff (Sales, Finance, Marketing, Business Development, Curriculum Development...etc.) seeking information, guidance, and clarification on Cloudera’s training offerings and programs.
Primary activities include business systems automations and enhancements, global scheduling and resource utilization, internal and external customer support, and reporting on key business metrics.
The successful candidate will be organized, able to multi-task, have a firm understanding of working within a P&L organization, and successfully drive cross department initiatives.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Managing Cloudera University Operations staff
Learning Management System (LMS) vendor management; including submission of feature requests, issue escalation, and roadmap influence.
Partnering with Training Infrastructure and Field Systems teams to design and improve processes and system automations.
Manage the global training schedule, with focus on instructor utilization and department margin goals.
Communicate with training customers to confirm training logistics, enforce policies, and most importantly provide world-class support.
· Partner with Marketing and Education leadership to institute promotional campaigns designed to drive web enrollments.
In tandem with the Cloudera University delivery team, support the activities of Cloudera’s global network of authorized training partners.
Accurately forecast training billings and revenues by region.
Monitor and report on training backlog, quality, utilization, cancellation and enrollment rates, and other standard training metrics
Partner with Cloudera’s Business Development and Field Services teams to ensure integrity of Cloudera Connect partner program certifications.
Participate in course rollout efforts; working with multiple groups within training org, and assigning tasks as appropriate.
10+ years working in an operations function, preferably within Educational Services
Successful experience working with globally remote team
Experience with enterprise Training Operations functions; including process improvement for scaling growth, learning management systems management, scheduling, and general coordination responsibilities.
Team oriented, but self-motivated, with the ability to work remotely and independently
Experience using spreadsheets, creating reports and presentations
Ability to prioritize and improvise (within departmental and company guidelines)
· Tableau, Zendesk, Jira experience
· Looker and Tableau reporting experience · Basic SQL/HTML experience
· Slack experience
· Google & MS Office proficiency
Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant experience is required.
